Ryan Haverty is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music, under the direction of virtuoso Jason Vieaux. Ryan received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he studied with Turkish-American virtuoso Mesut Ozgen. Ryan has been in the master classes of many respected musicians, such as Benjamin Verdery, Andrew Zohn, Paul O'Dette, Ricardo Gallen, and Ricardo Iznaola.
Ryan has received numerous awards, scholarships, and honors for his solo playing, chamber collaborations, and teaching. He maintains a regular concert schedule alongside his studies. Recently, Ryan was featured in the Young Artist Series at the IMG-sponsored Festival del Sole in Napa, California.
An active teacher, Ryan has headed the guitar departments at the Monterey Bay Academy and the Stockton School of Music. He continues to teach private lessons and give masterclasses while studying at CIM.
